The Residence

The Residence in Nantwich, differs from conventional restaurants, a home from home, with a touch of opulence - casual dining at its best, offering quality without exclusivity and high levels of service without high prices across a broad customer base. The Residence has already become the proverbial ‘third place' to a large number of Cheshire's residents and workers.

The Residence in Nantwich opened in 2007 and took the local restaurant and bar scene to a new level with a cocktail bar, restaurant, private hire suite and alfresco garden terrace, set over two beautifully designed floors. Residence, Nantwich is set in a beautiful Georgian mansion house. Originally built in the 1600s, the most famous resident was former Lord Mayor of London, Edmund Wright in the 17th century.

Residence Nantwich is open every day from 11am Monday to Sunday and has a private secure car park.

The Directors

Ben Rafferty is an experienced restaurant and bar operator and previously a performance bartending champion. Ben is a licensed leisure specialist with over 20 years experience from a broad spectrum of the Industry including the U.K, Middle East and Australasia. Ben has been directly involved in a total of 36 new site openings and acquired over 23 licensed sites for small and blue chip businesses.

Paul Newman, an accomplished restaurant and bar based sales & marketeer and operator with more than 20 years experience Previous experience in the wines and spirit, drinks brands and bar & restaurant industries. More recently Paul was a founder member and shareholder in The Living Room restaurant and bar concept, which built from the first site in 1999 to 13 by 2006. Paul was a board member and director of Living Ventures Ltd until 2006. Previously Paul was the brand manager for Absolut Vodka in the UK. Paul was selected this year as one of the most influential people in the Industry at the 2009 Theme Magazine Top 100 awards.
