Trainee to M.D - 1986 - 2013 - I started back in 1986 as a pot washer before working my way into the service domain with roles including cellar man, hotel porter, glass washer and waiting on. From here I took the leap of faith and became a cocktail bartender in 1988 just as Tom Cruise became a global hit in the movie 'Cocktail'. I started at Mulligans Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel near Mcr Airport then bartended all over the world including Dubai, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia covering a total of 5 years and working for the likes of TGI Fridays and Hard Rock Cafe - I enjoyed every minute! After realising that I then needed to stop drinking my wages I developed my skills as a Bar manager, Duty Manager, Marketing Manager and a Recruitment and training consultant. These roles were followed shortly by appointments as diverse as an Area Manager, Business Development Manager and finally Acquisitions Manager for 6 years in the North West. I have been involved in 36 new site openings as well as buying 23 sites for small and blue chip companies. I am now 42 years old, work with a fantastic team of staff, live near Northwich and have three gorgeous females in my life - my wife and 2 girls!
